5 home runs power Parkside softball over Stephen Decatur
Maggie Cannon drove in seven runs and went deep twice, as the Parkside Rams softball team beat Stephen Decatur 20-1 in five innings Wednesday afternoon.
Stephen Decatur would get their only run in the top of the first inning when Sam Kefauver’s double scored Maddie King.
The Rams would take the lead in the third and never look back. Morgan McAllister and Taylor Nichols led off the inning with back-to-back homeruns, then pitcher McKenna Reddick went up and helped her own cause, blasting a three run shot over the center-field wall. Maggie Cannon would then hit a two run homer, to complete an eight run inning. Cannon added another home run in the third inning, as Parkside added six more in the frame.
Reddick got the win for the Rams going three innings, allowing just one earned run on one hit.
