Apr. 21 – Relay For Life At SU

Relay For Life came to the Salisbury University campus in 2002. Since the creation of this organization, the Relay For Life of SU committee members and participants have raised over $1 million to be donated to the American Cancer Society.

Thousands of students and faculty have participated over the years making Relay For Life one of the biggest events this campus see’s each year! This year Relay For Life of Salisbury University will be on April 24th in Maggs gym from 6pm to 6am. We have created an indoor and outdoor event; the track can be followed going inside to Maggs gym and outside on the Perdue building lawn. Relay For Life originally began in the United States by Dr. Gordy Klatt but has since become an international event! To highlight the global expansion of Relay For Life and the amazing services and opportunities they provide for cancer patients, survivors and caregivers the theme for the 2015 Relay For Life event is One World One Hope: Relaying Around The World.

Each team has chosen a country to represent! Throughout the night we will have a lot of fun activities such as a male beauty pageant called Miss Relay, hair cutting donations, silent auctions, live performances by student led organizations and bands. Our goal is to raiser $110,000 this year and we need everyone’s help! Please come out on April 24th and support Relay For Life of Salisbury University!
