Bucs Coast Past Lions And Into Bayside Championship

The Kent Island High School boy’s lacrosse team traveled to Queen Anne’s on Friday afternoon in hopes to finish off a perfect Bayside regular season, and did just that with an 18-3 victory to remain undefeated with a 9-0 record. The Lions slip to 4-6 for the season.
Mike Boone kicked things off for the Bucs in the opening minute, rolling around the crease and ripping a 10-yard shot into the back of the net. Queen Anne’s wouldn’t go away though, seeing Jonathan Clark make a nice cut back inside along the left side of the crease to finish a nice low shot between two Bucs’ defenders.
But Kent Island would just take complete control after that scoring 10-straight goals to take an 11-1 lead into the half.
With the victory, the Bucs have punched their ticket to the Bayside Championship game at County Stadium on Tuesday, May 5 at 5 p.m. Queen Anne’s will now await the state playoffs in hopes to extend its season.
