Emely continues to serve in city council

Councilman Erik Emely was present and did vote in the meeting, despite the fact that he is facing charges for soliciting a prostitute.

47 ABC spoke with officials who confirmed Emely has every right to continue to serve despite the pending legal matters.

Crisfield City Solicitor Michael Sullivan declined to comment on the matter.

Back in December the councilman, also known in some circles as DJ Flea, was arrested in a prostitution sting in Wicomico County.

Emely is currently in the third year of his four-year term.
