Decatur Boys Lax Pull Away Late To Move On

The Stephen Decatur boys lacrosse team pulled away late to defeat Jame M. Bennett 14-6. The Seahawks advance to play in the regional semifinals.

Decatur would find themselves in a dog fight early on. Corey Gwyn would get a couple quick goals to help the Seahawks to an early lead, but the Clippers would have an answer. Matt Seidel would find the back of the net to tie the game up at 5-5 and for a while it looked like the Clippers may pull off the upset. But that’s when the Seahawks showed their experience, as they closed the game on a 9-1 run., highlights by a beautiful goal from Jake Lathruom. The loss ends the Clippers season.
