Dover man accused of raping teen girl

A Dover man is behind bars, after Police say he has been charged in connection with the rape of a teenager.

Dover Police say on Tuesday, they arrested 50-year-old Bobbie Harrell, and charged him, after it was found that he had sexual contact with a teen. According to the report, the 13-year-old victim’s mother contacted Police, after she found that while Harrell was babysitting for the girl at her home on Simon Circle, he raped her.

Harrell was charged with rape 1st degree, endangering the welfare of a child, child abuse, and other related offenses. He is now being held at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center on $64,000 bond.
