UPDATE: Beau Biden honored today

A viewing for former Delaware Attorney General Beau Biden was held Thursday in Dover.

A processional that transported Biden’s body left for Dover Thursday morning. It traveled from a funeral home in Wilmington to Legislative Hall. The viewing began at 1:00 PM Thursday afternoon and ran through 5:00 PM.

On Capitol Hill, the House of Representatives honored Beau Biden Thursday by passing a resolution by unanimous consent which commemorates the life of Joseph Robinette “Beau” Biden III.

Delaware Congressman John Carney gave a touching speech saying, “We watched Beau grow into a young lawyer, and then elected him twice to be our Attorney General, where he became a champion of protecting the most vulnerable among us.”

He continued, “We were inspired by his example as a loving husband to Hallie, a doting father to Natalie and Hunter, and as always, a devoted son and brother.  Family, for Beau, like Joe, was everything.”
