Three arrested on gun and drug charges

Three men have been arrested on gun and drugs charges, according to Delaware State Police.

Around 2:45 a.m. Saturday, a state trooper reportedly found a car with its headlights on stopped on the southbound shoulder on Route 13 near Camp Road. According to police, the trooper approached the vehicle  to check on the welfare of the occupants when he came into contact with three men.

Police say 26-year-old Breyon Baine, 25-year-old Tyshaun Williams, and 23-year-old Enoch Williams had pulled to the shoulder of the road because Baine had apparently been vomiting. The trooper reportedly detected the odor of alcohol, which resulted in a DUI investigation.

While they were searching the car, troopers say they found a loaded PT 22 caliber handgun, approximately 56 grams of marijuana in the glove compartment, as well as a bullet proof vest, and a mask. Police say they also found $750.00 in suspected drug sale proceeds.

Baine is facing charges of Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited, Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, Conspiracy 2nd Degree, Possession of Marijuana, Reckless Driving, and No Proof of Motor Vehicle Insurance.

Williams faces charges of Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited, Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, Conspiracy 2nd Degree, and Possession of Marijuana.

Williams faces charges of Possession of a Firearm by a Person Prohibited, Carrying a Concealed Deadly Weapon, Conspiracy 2nd Degree, and 2 counts of Possession of Marijuana.

All three suspects have been committed to the Sussex Correctional Institute.
