City of SBY making sure scooter rides remain safe

SALISBURY, Md. – Since the arrival of birds in Salisbury, bird scooters that is, the city is making sure riders are up to date with how to carry themselves on the newest form of transportation in the city.

The city of Salisbury says, riders should ride in the bike lanes wherever available.  However, if bike lanes are not present, riders should ride with the traffic flow as far to the right as possible. For those who aren’t on scooters, the city says typical rules apply,  such as riders yielding to the right at stop signs. When interacting with pedestrians, scooters must legally yield to them at all times.
