Police: Man steals 20 breakfast sandwiches from Dover Wawa
DOVER, Del. – Dover Police say they are investigating a strong armed robbery that happened over the weekend.
We’re told just after 6 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to the Wawa convenience store on Forrest Avenue for a reported robbery. Police learned through investigation and video surveillance that a male suspect arrived in a silver Chevrolet Silverado, enter the store with his own bag, and proceeded towards the register area.
The suspect then reportedly placed approximately 20 breakfast sandwiches in his bag and walked towards the door. An employee stood in the doorway to try and prevent the suspect from stealing the items, however, the suspect used his body weight to “bull rush” and knock the employee down to the ground to steal the items from the store.
