Motorcyclist injured in Frederica crash

Delaware State Police say they are investigating a two vehicle crash in Frederica, that sent one person to the hospital.
Reports say just before noon on Sunday, 30-year-old Michael Welch, of Magnolia, was driving a 2011 Buick Regal west on Barretts Chapel Road, near Buffalo Road.
According to the report, as Welch slowed down to turn into a driveway, the rear of his car was hit by a 2014 Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by 52-year-old Robert Blackburn, of Milford. Blackburn had reportedly been riding behind the Buick.
Blackburn, who Police say was wearing a DOT compliant helmet, was taken from the scene to Christiana Hospital, where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries. Welch, who was reportedly wearing a seat belt, was apparently not injured in the crash.
This crash remains under investigation by the Delaware State Police.
