Two airlifted after Ocean Gateway crash

Police in Easton say two 10-year-old passengers were airlifted to Johns Hopkins following a crash on Ocean Gateway.

Officers responded to westbound Ocean Gateway and Cecil Drive for a report of a crash. Police say a tractor towing a grain trailer had collided with a 2012 Honda Fit.

Police say upon further investigation, they discovered the Honda driver, was stopped in the road due to a red light at the intersection. The driver of the tractor, was also traveling westbound and failed to slow and struck the rear of the Honda.

Police say the 10-year-old passengers of the Honda were airlifted, and neither driver required treatment.

The tractor driver has been charged with failing to control speed and following too closely.
