Salisbury man charged after reportedly discharging shotgun following fight

A Salisbury man is behind bars, after his shotgun reportedly discharged twice, while he was apparently breaking out the windows of someone else’s car.
The Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office says on Wednesday around 2:15 AM, a Deputy arrested 25-year-old Jordan Townsend in connection to a July 4th incident. According to the report, on that date, at a home on Edwards Avenue, during a fight, Townsend took a shotgun, pointed at another person, and started making threats.
Investigators say Townsend then took the butt of the shotgun, and used it to break out the windows of that same person’s vehicle. Witnesses reportedly told Deputies that the shotgun discharged into the air while Townsend was smashing the windows. He then reportedly reloaded the gun, and went right back to hitting the vehicle, during which the gun apparently discharged a second time.
There was reportedly no one injured during the ordeal. Townsend was apparently gone when Deputies arrived, but was charged with assault 1st and 2nd degree, reckless endangerment, and malicious destruction of property, after his Wednesday arrest. He is currently being held at the Wicomico County Detention Center on a $150,000 bond.
