UPDATE: Police identify 2 people found dead after shooting in Bear

Authorities are identifying two people found shot dead inside a home in Bear.

New Castle County police on Wednesday identified the pair found dead Tuesday evening as 34-year-old Jennifer Fertig of Bear and 35-year-old Michael Jackson of Newark.

Police say officers called to the home found the pair dead in the living room of the home where Fertig lived with a family member. Police say Jackson arrived that afternoon and a witness reported hearing them argue in the home before police arrived.

Police say the preliminary investigation has determined that Jackson shot Fertig, then took his own life.
