Delmar man arrested for reported assault on woman

Wicomico County Sheriff’s Office says a Delmar man has been arrested after a reported dispute with female roommate.

According to reports, officials responded to Bi-State Boulevard in Delmar for a reported disturbance on Sunday. When officials arrived a female victim reportedly stated she had been assaulted by 39-year-old Florencio Orozco-Coyoy, whom she lived with.

The deputy placed Orozco under arrest for the assault and transported him to the Central Booking Unit. Police say an initial appearance is still pending for Orozco. He is being charged with 2nd degree assault.
