Fair helps figure skating group increase exposure

DSF Day 9: Frozen figure skaters

Throughout this year’s fair, you’ve probably heard about some of the big-time performers like Meghan Trainor, Josh Turner, and New Kids On The Block.

For them, the fair is another stop on tour.

But for smaller groups, like the Bay Country Figure Skating Club, the fair serves as a platform for more exposure.

This smaller group within the club – comprised of kids from across Delaware and parts of Maryland – have been performing acts from hit movie *Frozen* all week at the Centre Ice Rink.
Their coach tells 47 ABC – that the fair has been instrumental in getting the word out about their group.

“The State Fair actually gives us more exposure for this smaller show during the summer.”
And “The crowds have been overwhelming. It’s good exposure for us to start our new season in September.” said Figure Skating Coach, Tom Harrison.

The club is looking to grow. If you’re interested in joining, you can reach out to them on their website.
