Police: Woman, 84, mugged in parking lot of Newark store

State police say an 84-year-old woman was mugged in the parking lot of a Kohl’s store in Newark.

Police say the robbery occurred around 12:15 p.m. on Saturday. Police say a man came up behind the woman and grabbed her purse, and then pushed her to the ground. He fled in a pickup truck.

The woman was taken to a hospital, where she was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident was not captured on surveillance video, and police have not identified a suspect.
