Fatal crash in Easton under investigation
EASTON, Md. – Police are continuing to investigate a crash that killed one and injured two others in Easton.
We’re told just after 7 a.m. Sunday, Easton Police and other emergency personnel responded to Ocean Gateway and Black Dog Alley for a serious motor vehicle crash. Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2016 Hino Truck, driven by 22-year-old Seth Parks, was stopped in the traffic lane at the intersection traveling westbound when a 2019 Nissan Rogue, being driven by 22-year-old Brian Faust, ran into the back of the truck. There were also two passengers in the Nissan Rogue, identified as 24-year-old Kuleil Starliper (front seat) and 24-year-old Angeles Cordon-Pinto (back seat).
Due to the extent of the damage to the Nissan, rescue personnel had to extract the driver.
Faust and Starliper were flown to R. Adams Crowley Shock Trauma Center and were both released the next day. Cordon-Pinto was taken to the University of Maryland Shore Medical Center until she was stable enough to be flown to R. Adams Crowley Shock Trauma Center in critical condition. Police say she succumbed to her injuries on Thursday.
The crash is still under investigation, and anyone who may have witnessed the crash is asked to contact Cpl. Josh Merrick at 410-822-1111.
