Del Tech aims to feed hungry vets this holiday season

Del Tech continued their efforts to help vets in Georgetown Friday evening, this time with hunger at their inaugural Making Spirits Bright event.
The fee to get in for the night was $25. Folks could also bring in canned goods to go in a food basket.
The money donated also went to Food Baskets for local veterans and their families.
"Well this is the first time we've done this, but then has been kind of a new thing for us , and it's turned out really well, very successful. So it may not be just a one and done," said organizer David Tidwell.
"This is one of the times where we try to remember the veterans and those who have served us selflessly and give back in any way that we can. So that's why we have the runs and today we have the food pantry," said marine Justin Munson.
Helping to feed hungry vets is a year long challenge. If you want to help the cause, Del Tech in Georgetown accepts food donations throughout the year at their on campus pantry.
