UPDATE: Former Worcester Co. teacher awaiting extradition

A Worcester County teacher who is accused of sexually abusing multiple students, is expected to be extradited on Wednesday.
The Worcester County Bureau of Investigations says Deputies left around 9:00 AM to extradite 42-year-old William Cathell Jr., of Parksley, from Accomack County, Virginia to Worcester County. Cathell is a Spanish/foreign language teacher at Pocomoke Middle School.
An investigation that apparently started in June, after a compliant was filed with Worcester County Public Schools, reportedly revealed four victims between the ages of 12 and 13. Investigators alleged that the abuse happened during the 2013-2014 school year, and continued up until this Spring, with two of the victims assaulted by Cathell multiple times.
After his extradition Cathell with be charged with multiple offenses, including six counts sexual abuse of a minor. Officials with Worcester County Public Schools say he has been a teacher since 2005, but was placed on administrative leave when the investigation began, and will remain there pending any legal action. Authorities say no other victims have come forward at this time.
