Man linked to human trafficking during burglary investigation, two arrested

Two people were arrested on Wednesday, in connection with the burglary of an Easton home, one of which they say has been linked to human trafficking.
Easton Police say they have been investigating reported burglary at a home on Kathy Street on July 23, where electronics, money, clothes and a firearm had been taken. The suspects apparently got into the home through a window.
During that investigation, Police say they were able to link 29-year-old Amber Wilkens, and 35-year-old Chrisopher Wilkison to the crime. On Wednesday, Wilkens and Wilkison were both arrested.
Wilkens was charged with burglary first, third, and forth degree, theft $1,000 to $10,000, theft scheme $1,000 to $10,000, and malicious destruction of property. She is being held at the Talbot County Detention Center without bond.
Police say that they found evidence that Wilkison was involved in transporting a woman for prostitution, in exchange for money and/or drugs.
On Wednesday, Wilkison was served by the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office, with the warrant, that charged him with theft $1,000 to $10,000, theft scheme $1,000 to $10,000, theft conspiracy, and human trafficking. He is now being held on a $100,000 bond.
Easton Police tell 47 ABC that Wilkens was not linked to the prostitution incident.
