Va. man facing gun charges after Laurel traffic stop

A Virginia man is facing charges, after Police say they found drugs and a handgun during a traffic stop.

Laurel Police say on Tuesday, Officers pulled over 22-year-old Aaron Jones, for traffic violations in Laurel. During the stop, Officers reportedly smelled marijuana, and searched the vehicle.

Police say in that search, they found 2.7 grams of marijuana, and a small caliber handgun.

Jones was arrested, and charged with carrying a concealed deadly weapon, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was later arraigned, and released on a $4,500 bond, pending a future court date.
