UPDATE: Victims identified in Laurel fatal crash

The Delaware State Police have released new details, in the fatal crash in Laurel, that reportedly killed two and injured one other, Monday night.
Troopers say, the crash happened on Route 24 just west of Jestice Farm Road, around 8:25 PM.
According to reports, 56-year-old Ronald Barde, of Millsboro, was driving a 2015 Mazda east on Route 24 when for unknown reasons entered into the westbound lanes and collided head on to 55-year old Edward Spicer, of Laurel, driving a 1992 Nissan.
Spicer who was not properly restrained, along with his passenger, 57-year-old Jerry Whiteman, of Laurel, were both pronounced dead at the scene.
Barde, who was properly restrained, was initially transported to Nanticoke Memorial Hospital before being airlifted to Christiana Medical Center where he was admitted in serious condition.
Troopers say, they are continuing their investigation into this incident and at this time alcohol involvement is unknown. Route 24 was reportedly closed between Jestice Farm Road and Hitch Pond Road for about four hours while the crash was investigated and cleared.
