Officials: Woman injured after crash in Cheswold, cause under investigation

A woman was injured, after officials say a car crash happened in Cheswold, on Monday morning.

According to the Cheswold Volunteer Fire Company, firefighters responded to a crash, just after 10:00 AM,after a vehicle crashed into a ditch on Pearsons Corner Road.

A woman was reportedly taken to Bayhealth Kent General Hospital for mild injuries. The road was restricted to one lane for a few minutes.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
