Snow Hill Girls Soccer Start Strong, Down Wi-Hi

The Snow Hill girls soccer team hit the road Wednesday afternoon and defeated Wicomico High School 8-1. The win improves the Eagles to 2-1, while the loss drops the Indians to 0-1.
The Eagles would jump out to a quick lead after Taylor Beckett would score a loose ball in front of the goal. Shortly after that, Rylee Covington would send a cross to Skylar Nock, who would fire it home far post to push the lead too two. The road team wasn’t done just yet, as minutes later the lead would push to 3 after Kelsey Hall took a pass at the top of the box, turned and fired it in. The Tribes defense would continue to battle and Kasi Nicolas came up with several saves in goal for WiHi. But the Eagles just kept coming. Hannah Jones and Anna Adams would both find the back of the net to help Snow Hill to a 5-0 halftime lead. Snow Hill continued to push in the second half and was able to add 3 more goals before a beautiful free kick from mid field by the Indians Anna Wagner would find the back of the net.
Snow Hill returns to action Monday when they host Stephen Decatur, while WiHi returns to work Monday when they travel to Mardela.
