DCPS employee honored for excellence in education

DORCHESTER CO., Md. – A Dorchester County Public Schools employee was recently honored for her excellence in education.

On Wednesday, Chris Dayton, the Administrative Assistant to the Superintendent, received the Emily’s Excellence in Education recognition for July. We’re told Dayton is one of the school district’s longest-serving employees.

Superintendent Bromwell said in a statement, “While our instructional staff is certainly important, it’s good to see outstanding members of our support staff recognized too, and Mrs. Dayton is among the best. Her commitment and dedication to the work of DCPS is exceptional.”

In addition to her award, she was also treated to lunch and given a box of seasonal fruits and vegetables by the award’s sponsor, Emily’s Produce.
