Tech field hockey bests Central in rivalry matchup

After a 1-1 game early on, the Sussex Tech Ravens scored five unanswered goals on their way to a 6-1 win over Route 9 rival Sussex Central.

Annie Perdue, Aleksandra Bada, Bridget Johnson, Hannah Venables, Taylor Wroten, and Alyssa Collins all scored for the Ravens as they set a season high in points. The win was the first of the year for Sussex Tech.  Hayley McCabe scored the lone goal for Central.

Both teams are back in action on Thursday, when the Knights host Caesar Rodney, and the Ravens travel to Polytech. Both games are set for 4 p.m.
