Apartment building fire in Cambridge ruled as arson, one injured

A Sunday evening house fire in Cambridge, has been ruled as arson. The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says around 7:10 PM, a passerby discovered flames at a Clinton Street apartment house.
According to the report, 30 firefighters from five area departments responded, and had the one alarm blaze under control in about an hour. One person sustained non-life threatening burns, and was treated at Dorchester General Hospital, before being released.
Damages to the structure and contents are estimated to total $40,000. Investigators reportedly found that the flames started on the back porch on the first floor of the structure. The Cambridge Police Department is assisting in the investigation, and the Red Cross is reportedly assisting the building’s occupants.
