Sen. Coon’s to look into TPP agreement

Senators Chris Coons and Tom Carper spoke Friday for the first time publicly since the The Asia Pacific Trade Agreement was negotiated.
The agreement would eliminate 1,800 taxes imposed on American imports to the Asian Pacific.
47 ABC was able to speak with Coons Friday after the event.
Coons said that the details of the agreement have not yet been released and that he has some serious doubts.
However, the agreement does hold potential for growth for Delaware’s trade.
As of right now, Coons said everything still needs to be reviewed.
“I look forward to viewing it closely and to a robust and open debate about trade and it’s possible and it’s positive potential impact on Americas economy,” Coons said.
During the next three months the details of the trade agreement will be made public.
While that is happening Congress will have their say about the agreement before any further moves are made.
