Delaware Shakespeare brings professional theater to underserved audiences

A mobile production is going around Delaware bringing professional theatre to underserved audiences.

Today, Delaware Shakespeare made an appearance at the Stockley Center in Georgetown.

The performance is free and it's for anyone who doesn't have the luxury of going to watch plays. They've been to homeless shelters and jails.

And today, they acted in front of an audience with disabilities.

We are told Shakespeare's plays were made for everyone in his community. And they hope to do the exact same thing.

The program started two years ago to bring the entire community together to experience Shakespeare.

Their final tour is tomorrow in Wilmington where they are visiting a youth detention school.
