Pocomoke Field Hockey’s Butler Breaks Scoring Record

Pocomoke field hockey senior Lexi Butler had herself a night in her teams 3-1 win over Kent County. Midway through the first half, she took a pass from Dani Batze and was able to score, giving her 35 to tie the programs all-time mark for goals in a single conference season. Then in the 2nd half, she would again be able to find the back of the cage after a beautiful pass from Makenzie Mitchell. Number 36 this season moved her into sole possession on top the record books of one of the most decorated programs on the shore.

It has been a memorable week for the reigning Bayside Player of the Year as just on Monday, she announced that she has verbally committed to continue her education and play at Towson University. Before then though, the team continues to work towards their goal of earning a state title, and continuing to play #PuseyStrong.
