Kiln blamed for garage fire in Easton

A fire in an Easton garage, was reportedly started by a kiln.
The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says the homeowner found the flames around 4:30 AM on Thursday in a detached two car garage on Dover Road. Twenty five firefighters from Easton, Preston, and Trappe reportedly responded, and had the blaze under control in a half hour.
Investigators say the fire has been ruled as accidental and started inside of the garage, by a kiln. There were apparently combustibles too close to the kiln.
No injuries were reported. Damages are estimated to total $100,000.
