Woodbridge stops IR’s run in the south

After a scoreless first half, the Woodbridge Blue Raiders reeled off 34 straight points to defeat Indian River 34-0 in front of a nice homecoming crowd.

Freshman Troy Haynes scored two straight touchdowns, one passing, and one running to give the Raiders a 14-0 lead late in the third quarter. Terrique Riddick would add the next, followed by Haynes delivering another touchdown pass to Bragg Davis for a 25 yard score. After a turnover on the kickoff, Woodbridge would again cash in before the end of the third quarter.

The Blue Raiders will try to keep their Henlopen South hopes alive next weekend, taking on Milford, while Indian River host Delmar.
