Oct. 26 – How to Keep a Man

How to Keep a Man is the stage play about 3 women who, in their struggle to keep their man, learn how they deserve to be kept.

Desiree is a strong minded, intelligent, and assertive businesswoman whose diner, Des’ Diner is now seeking to expand in another part of town. Although her professional life is thriving, her marriage with her aspiring author husband, Christian, is struggling to survive.

Alicia is the passive, insecure, and vulnerable head waitress at the diner. As a single mother with two children, she hasn’t had a significant relationship since both of her children’s father failed to commit. However, when her new boyfriend, Derrick finally commits, she quickly throws out all of her standards, religion, and reasoning to accommodate him.

Camille is the straight-forward, spontaneous, “say-it-like-it-is” newest hire of the diner. She is still in love with and refuses to let him go of her “on break” boyfriend/child’s father, Jerran. Although she suspects he is cheating and though he wants to move on, she finds every possible way to make sure he stays in her life.

As Desiree continues to put business over her love, as Alicia continues to be everything for her man, and as Camille continues to remain his one and only, when their love is put to the test, these three women pull out all the stops to keep their man.
