Md. standardized testing commission announced

Two people from the Eastern Shore have been appointed to an education commission for the state of Maryland.
They include Worcester County resident Karen Prengaman and Queen Anne’s County resident Andrew Smarick.
The commission will be in charge of reviewing standardized testing regulations. They’re expected to look at the purpose of local, state and federally mandated assessments and then determine whether there have been any drawbacks because of them.
Their first meeting will be held on November 17.
