Traffic stop leads to discovery of drugs

The Easton Police Department say they conducted a traffic stop on Tuesday that led to the discovery of drugs.
Around 10:12 AM, Easton Police reported that they stopped a car on Route 50 near Days Inn, and was initially stopped for failing to move over and slow down for emergency vehicles stopped on the shoulder.
According to the report, further investigation led officers to believe that the driver of the vehicle, 34-year-old Darryle Angelo Samples of Laurel, was in possession of marijuana.
Officials say that a search of the car allowed them to find a quantity of suspected marijuana over 10 grams, smoking devices, packaging materials, and a digital scale.
Samples was placed under arrest and charged with possession of CDS with intent to distribute, possession of marijuana, and 3 counts of marijuana paraphernalia.
Samples was also issued a written warning for failing to move over for emergency vehicles, and taken before the District Court Commissioner where he was released on $15000 unsecured bond.
