Cops and goblins a success in Ocean View

The town of Ocean View and the Ocean View Police Department partnered up Saturday to put on the first ever cops and goblins event at John West park.
Event organizers tell 47 ABC that because a majority of the homeowners in Ocean View are only seasonal, they wanted to give kids a safe place to get candy, show off their costumes and have fun.
The event featured free food, free candy, a costume contest, a magic show and a DJ.
Given the success, Ocean View officials look to continue the event for years to come.
“It’s going great, I couldn’t be happier, we got a beautiful day today and a lot of people are showing up, but its something we can build on every year, make it bigger and better every year,” said Cpl. Rhys Bradshaw of the Ocean View Police.
Over 200 people packed the park for the event.
