DSU Still Winless, Fall To BCU

The Delaware State University football team is still winless on the season after they fell at home on Saturday afternoon to Bethune-Cookman University 49-21. The loss drops the Hornets to 0-8.

The game got off to a great start for the home team. After the Wildcats drove the field, they would settle for a field goal attempt before it would get blocked by DSU. Woodbridge grad Logan Wescott would scoop up the loose ball, and take it 84 yards the other way for the score. But it went down hill in a hurry from there for the Hornets. Frank Brown would haul in a 7 yard score to tie the game up in the first quarter. The Wildcats then scored 3 straight rushing touchdowns to take a 28-7 lead. Brycen Alleyne would have a couple touchdown receptions in the second half for DSU, but they could never overcome the deficit.

DSU returns to work next Saturday when they travel to North Carolina Central.
