Laurel woman cited following school bus crash

A Laurel woman has been cited, after she apparently hit the back of a school bus.

Delaware State Police say on Thursday just before 3:30 PM, 22-year-old Jami Baker was driving a 2002 Oldsmobile Alero on Shiloh Church Road, near Chipsmans Pond Road directly behind a Laurel School Bus.

The bus driver, was stopped at a stop sign, but Baker apparently failed to stop, and hit the back of the bus with her front bumper.

Police say Baker was treated for minor injuries at the scene, and was released. She was also cited for following to closely. The bus driver reportedly had six students aboard, all of whom were uninjured.
