Lighting up Cambridge with new mural

CAMBRIDGE, Md.- One local is adding some color to the city with a brush and paint to create a new mural.

Bobbie Ennels, who grew up in Cambridge, is putting the finishing touches on a piece of art that says “Believe.”

She said the word is very powerful, but it’s really about the message behind it.

Ennels wants to inspire people to trust in themselves and know that they are capable of change.

She also said that Cambridge focuses a lot on it’s history, so she wanted to bring a new colorful abstract feel that people wouldn’t normally see in the area.

“I know the potential that we have, but I also know what we are lacking, so this is just one of the many ways that I wanted to help inspire people if all races, faces and gender,” Ennels said.

“You can be having any kind of day and everyday this is going to show up for you its going to help you believe, you don’t have any choice but to,” Cameron Mills, a local said.

Ennels said this is the first mural she’s done, but she’s already being asked to do more.

She said hopefully it will be done by the weekend.
