Police investigating two violent robberies in Easton

Police in Easton are looking for information, after two violent robberies.

Easton Police say on Wednesday around 9:00 PM, Officers responded to Dover Street and East Avenue, about a man bleeding from his face and head. Once on scene, the man was rushed to Easton Memorial Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

Police say during their investigation, they found that the man had been walking on Rails to Trails between Dover and South Street, when he was attacked by several men. The assailants reportedly stole the victim’s money, after assaulting him with beer bottles.

Police say they are also investigating a robbery that happened back on November 7, where a man was driving in the area of South Locust Lane near Dover Street, when three men walked up to his car, and demanded money. According to the report, one of the men then tazed the victim several times, and stole his wallet. The victim reportedly refused medical treatment, but his vehicle was damaged in the incident.

Easton Police tell 47 ABC that they don’t enough information to formally link the two cases, but they also don’t have enough to rule that possibility out.

They are asking anyone who may have information about either incident to contact them at 410-822-1111.
