MARYLAND. – Meanwhile in Maryland,  they are holding off pending the CDC meeting that is scheduled for tomorrow.

THE CDC Committee on Immunizations will meet to decide whether they recommend use of the vaccine in this age group.

Health experts say although they understand the hesitation by some parents, but say this is a huge step in getting back to normal. “This is a critical next step to building immunity across our entire community and protecting our youth from Coronavirus,” said Tidal Health’s Kat Rodgers.

“In the summertime when there’s a lot of activities like going to beach, camp, sports, things like that. I think this will be very important in helping us get back to school,” said Tidal Health’s Flora Glasgow.

Health experts also want to remind parents of the suggested yearly check ups for their little ones and to make sure their child not only gets this vaccine, but are up to date on all vaccinations prior to returning to school.
