UPDATE: 911 cell phone service restored in Accomack County

Emergency officials say cell phone 911 service is back to normal after experiencing service issues, in Virginia.
The Eastern Shore of Virginia 911 Commission says on Wednesday, Verizon Wireless has fixed the issues that were impacting 911 cell phone calls, in Accomack County. The 911 cell phone functionality is apparently back to normal.
According to officials, the issues began around 1:30 AM Wednesday morning when Verizon Wireless experienced some issues that impacted cell phone 911 calls.

According to the Eastern Shore 9-1-1 Commission, Verizon Wireless is experiencing some issues that may impact cell phone 9-1-1 calls in Accomack County.
Officials say the issues began around 1:30 a.m. Wednesday morning.
It is advised that if ESVA 9-1-1 Center can not be reached while using a cell phone, to try and use a landline phone to reach 9-1-1.
