Maryland surpasses 80,000 COVID-19 vaccinations in a single day

ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Governor Larry Hogan announced on Friday that more than 80,000 COVID-19 vaccinations have been reported in a single day in Maryland.

In total, the state is reporting a record-high 82,068 new vaccinations, and more than 3.2 million vaccinations to date.

According to the CDC, 46% of Marylanders age 18 and older have received a vaccine, including 78.5% of Marylanders age 65 and older. We’re told Maryland ranks 13th in the nation for vaccinating its population.

The Salisbury mass vaccinate site is continuing to offer walk-up, no appointment necessary vaccinations. A limited number of slots will be available each day from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
