29 cases closed in Cambridge with two arrests

Police in Cambridge have been busy investigating a series of thefts from vehicles in the area, and have now made two arrests.

Cambridge Police say they have now linked two juveniles to the crimes, which will close a total of twenty nine cases in the city. Detectives say five of the cases recently were burglaries and attempted burglaries at several area businesses.

Police say the two arrests are just the start, and that several more are expected. They are also continuing to notify the victims.

The Cambridge Police Department said the arrest of these juveniles started with a phone call from a concerned citizen, who reported suspicious activity in their neighborhood. They feel that this is a great example of the community and the police working together to prevent crime and make our streets safer.

Cambridge Police’s Lt. Justin Todd commented, “I commend the officers, detectives and the concerned citizens of Cambridge for their diligence and effort to close these property crime cases.”

Details on the cases remain rather limited at this time, but Police say they will release more information as it becomes available.
