Members of the Salisbury Fire Department say they responded to the 700 block of College Lane for reports of a blaze inside and apartment building.

Fire officials say smoke was visible from the second and third floors of the building, which they say contained about 12 apartments.

According to the Department’s official Facebook page, crews quickly made access to the two units via ladders, and put out the fire.

Officials say all residents made it out of the building safely and no injuries were recorded.

Authorities from the Office of the Maryland State Fire Marshal, Neighborhood Services, the Salisbury Police Department, and the Red Cross all reportedly responded to the call to assist.

Salisbury Fire officials say the incident was cleared by about 10:00 A.M. At this time we do not have information on the extent of the damage within the apartment building, or a cause for the blaze.
