Salisbury woman faces charges for burglary and assault

Deputies in Dorchester say they are investigating the burglary of a home, in the East New Market area of Maryland.

On Friday, a deputy from the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office responded to a Burglary. Upon arrival reportedly  41-year-old Amy Michelle Wilson of Salisbury, Md. had gained entry through a garage and the residence there. 

According to deputies, Wilson assaulted the home owner and fled the scene. A second deputy near Vienna was able to locate the suspect and take her into custody as she was traveling on Rt.50.

Wilson was charged with First Degree Burglary, Third Degree Burglary, Fourth Degree Burglary, Malicious Destruction of Property over $500.00 and Second Degree Assault and ordered Held on $5,500.00 Bond.
