La Esperanza and Maxima gear up for Radiothon

Georgetown’s La Esperanza center will be hosting a Radiothon this Friday with the help of the local radio station, Maxima.
The purpose of the Radiothon is to raise money to provide funding for all of La Esperenza’s services. At the event, Maxima will be live broadcasting from La Esperanza and accepting donations in person or over the phone. All of the proceeds raised during the Radiothon will go directly to La Esperanza so they can continue offering services to the community.
Kevin Andrade a Maxima radio host says, “They truly help people and there are hundreds and hundreds os families that receive this benefit so that’s why I believe it is important for us as media to support such a great organization.”
Last year La Esperanza had a goal of raising 50 thousand dollars and ended up raising $100,000. This year they plan on surpassing that.
