UPDATE: Moore gets 7 years with 13 suspended for embezzling over $120,000 from town of Pittsville

Former Pittsville town employee and daughter of the town president, Carla Moore, will spend seven years behind bars for stealing over $120,000 from the town of Pittsville.
Moore was found guilty on five counts of felony theft Tuesday after two days of trial in Wicomico County Circuit Court. Moore was sentenced to 20 years, with 13 years suspended, and to pay back the $128,524.13 she embezzled from the town.
During the two-day trial , the state was able to prove that while Moore was working as the city’s book keeper she used city money to pay for a personal credit card, make payments on her car and pay herself at a higher wage.
