UPDATE: One arrested in Easton armed robbery investigation, one still sought

Police in Easton say they have arrested a Trappe man, in connection to an armed robbery.

Easton Police say on December 3, Officers arrested 23-year-old Sheldon Nieves, on an arrest warrant that included armed robbery, assault, theft, and conspiracy. The charges stem from an incident that happened on November 23, at the Greens, on South Washington Street.

According to the report, on that day, a man was walking in the area, when he was approached by two men, one of whom was later identified as Nieves. Police say Nieves demanded the victim’s wallet at knife-point, before hitting him in the face, causing him to fall to the ground, where he was kicked several times. The suspects then apparently took the victim’s wallet and cellphone, before fleeing.

Following his arrest, Nieves was ordered by the Talbot County District Court Commissioner to be held at the Talbot County Detention Center on temporary committal.
